We are a little bit late but we finally got the opportunity to taste the young Beaujolais Nouveau wine. So for aperitif we made these toasts, to try asap if only for the onion cream!
- Liquid cream
- Soy sauce
- Raw ham
- Ciabatta bread
- In a pan, cook the onions with some butter and a pinch of sugar and salt.
- When the onions are translucent, add the cream (enough to cover the onions), and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Add a few drops of soy sauce, nutmeg and mix.
-Toast the bread slices, spread the onion cream, add the ham and end with grated cheese. In the oven for a few minutes.
Note for myself: next time, use a grated cheese that melt :)
